Time Extension

Conditional Use Permits and other discretionary Planning approvals typical expire if not exercised within one year of the effective date of approval, or within such additional time as may be set in the original conditions of approval, not to exceed three years.

Extending Approval

To extend an approval beyond its expiration date, a permittee must submit an application, flat fee of $2500, and supporting information to the Planning Department prior to the expiration date. The request is scheduled for Planning Commission review at a public hearing. In acting on the extension request, the Commission may approve the extension, approve the extension subject to new or revised conditions, or deny the request.
